Federal education minister responds to call for Arts status review

In response to NAAE’s call for a status review into arts education across Australia, Federal education minister, the Hon. Dan Tehan MP, has responded, noting that ‘the Australian Government recognises that there are significant benefits for students through participation in the arts during their schooling’. However, he does not commit to the requested review, also noting that ‘education ministers have agreed to regular review of the Australian Curriculum every six years’.
